Caribbean Star announces the swiftest way to fly
Friday, September 23, 2005
ST. JOHNS, Antigua: Caribbean travelers can now fly around the region at even more affordable fares through Caribbean Star Airlines’ new low season campaign.
“The Swift Way to Fly” campaign, which began 1 September 2005, is effective until 31 October 2005, and involves all 13 of Caribbean Star’s destinations. It offers fares from as low as US$40 (return) on specific routes, while the other routes offer competitive fares to realize the airline’s objective to provide more affordable travel during the current low season period.
There is also the additional incentive of a chance to win a 2005 Suzuki Swift in “The Swift Way to Fly” campaign. Entry forms for the Suzuki Swift giveaway are available at Caribbean Star’s ticketing offices, at check-in counters and in flight through its flight attendants.
Announcing the airline’s low season campaign, Edward Gilkes, Chief Operating Officer Caribbean Star Airlines, said: “Our fares are an initiative to make regional travel more affordable to all our passengers and a continuation of our commitment to regionalism. We are not just an airline but an integral part of the life of the citizens of the Caribbean since we provide access to each other through airline travel.”
He added, “Since inception, Caribbean Star Airlines has made every effort to connect the Caribbean through our competitive pricing, our network of destinations, our warm and friendly in-flight service and our corporate contributions.”
The airline will commemorate its Fifth Anniversary of operations on 18 October 2005.
Privately held Caribbean Star Airlines Limited was incorporated in Antigua in January 2000. Its sister airline Caribbean Sun Airlines Inc., based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, launched its maiden flight in January 2003.
