ST. GEORGE’S Grenada: Private Johnson Gideon Beharry, the Grenadian recipient of the Victoria Cross, will be visiting the Spice Isle on Thursday 18th August 2005 to Monday, 22nd August 2005.
Pvt Beharry will arrive in Grenada via Virgin Atlantic at 4:30pm.
Speaking at the Sitting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday Parliamentary Representative for St. Mark Clarice Modeste Curwen says she is encouraging the public to come out in their numbers to show their support by going to the airport and lining the route along the airport.
Other activities scheduled for Private Beharry’s visit include a courtesy call on the Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell and on the Governor General Sir Daniel Williams and a reception in his home village in Diego Piece on Saturday.
