British policeman charged with Guyana murder

IPSWICH, England: A 42-year-old British
policeman arrested in connection with a murder that took place in Guyana more
than 20 years ago was Tuesday charged with murder.
According to the Suffolk Evening Star, Michael Andrew Cheong was charged with
the murder of Brian Spencer, 23, in the Linden Highway area of Guyana in 1982.
Cheong was suspended from duty at the time of his arrest on November 10 last
year. He is due to appear in court in London
on Wednesday.
