GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands: The USA-Martial
Art Games Committee is working to try to organize meetings in Caribbean
countries with other martial art federations to promote the IMGC and
eventually create a Caribbean Martial Arts Games Committee.
The USA-MGC recently participated in a meeting in the Cayman Islands to
promote and create the Cayman Islands Martial Art Games Committee.
The President of the USA-MGC, Master Andy
Mencia, traveled to Grand Cayman to explain and discuss the purpose and goals
of the International Martial Art Games Committee and to promote its upcoming
event, the 1st IMGC Games to be held in Korea in the month of September.
This event is to showcase all the martial
arts in one event and this event will be structured in an Olympic format. Each
martial will compete with its own martial art. The IMGC is sanctioned by the
GAISF (General Association of International Sports Federation) and the GAISF
is a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
On this trip, Master Mencia met with
different people from different martial arts, Karate, Ju-Jitsu and Taekwon-Do
(WTF). He also met with the Cayman Islands Minister of Sports, Dr. Frank
McField.
On other trips to the Caribbean, Master
