
New air service from Houston to Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad: Traveling from the
Lone Star State and home of barbeque and big oil, to the cultural capital of
the Caribbean and industrial epicenter of the West Indies, will soon be easier
than ever. On June 10, Continental Airlines will launch new direct service
from Houston, Texas to Port of Spain, Trinidad.
The airline will offer direct service from
the George Bush Intercontinental/ Houston Airport to Piarco International
Airport in Trinidad. Flight 1935 will depart Houston three times a week
(Monday, Wednesday and Friday) at 1:34 p.m. and arrive Port of Spain at 7:59
p.m. The return flight 1934 will depart Port of Spain at 9:00 a.m. and arrive
Houston at 1:15 p.m.
“This is big news for Trinidad & Tobago. The
addition of this flight allows us to introduce the business appeal, culture
and charisma of Trinidad & Tobago to a huge segment of business and leisure
travelers. We are pleased that our efforts to streamline travel to our island
nation have resulted in important and convenient Continental flight,” said
Warren Solomon, Vice President of Tourism.
