BASSETERRE, St. Kitts: One of St. Kitts’ new
resorts has been accepted as a member of Great Hotels of the World - Luxury
Romantic Collection, one of the five niche programmes operated by Great Hotels
of the World, the global luxury hotel marketing alliance.
The Angelus has been chosen for its unique appeal to couples and honeymooners
and is featured in the 2004 issue of Great Hotels of the World - Luxury
Romantic Collection. “We are please to be a
part of The Great Hotels of the World Romantic Collection. The Angelus Resort
is a wonderful place to relax and to discover romances with it's over sized
suites, magnificent beach on one of the most naturally stunning Caribbean
islands,” said The Angelus Resort and Spa General Manger, Ms. Pauline Horton.
Resort officials said The Angelus Resort and Spa is a growing 144-room resort
resting on more than 15 acres on the shores of Half Moon Bay.
The resort’s large tropical swimming pool is in use. The new lobby is
completed and is being used as a bar while the building for the restaurant is
under construction. “From private balconies,
our studios and suites feature expansive views of either the mountains, with
the Royal St. Kitts Golf Course in the foreground, or our white sand beach,
which we believe to be one of the best on the island. At The Angelus, we're
creating a resort that allows its guests to not just visit the Caribbean, but
become a part of it, taking in all the joys and wonders of the island
surroundings and reveling in the food, customs and entertainment,” the hotel’s
statement said.
The Angelus Resort and Spa features a
colorful, funky and somewhat unpredictable beachfront restaurant and bar,
Alexander's, an on-site restaurant highlighting local cuisine -- led by a
world-renowned chef known for Caribbean dishes, a large tropical swimming pool
with a swim up bar and an AVEDA Spa.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Great Hotels of the World represents the
world's greatest hotels and resorts in five niche market sectors: spa,
romantic, family, golf and incentive & business travel.
Membership of Great Hotels of the World is by invitation only and is limited
to exceptional hotels within the recognised niche lifestyle markets. Glossy,
