Cayman Islands general elections to take place on Nov 17

Saturday, February 21, 2004

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands: The Governor of the Cayman Islands, Mr. Bruce Dinwiddy, has announced the timetable for the 2004 General Elections, which sets Wednesday, November 17 as Elections Day, which is also designated as a public holiday.

The timetable also outlines the schedule for the various activities leading up to the elections. The first part of the programme deals specifically with elector registration and the Elections Office will be placing considerable emphasis on this, as the registration period for those persons not already registered and wishing to vote in November, ends on June 30, 2004.

The Elections Office will continue to issue press bulletins in conjunction with the published programme. Additional information can be obtained from the Elections Office's website at www.electionsoffice.ky
