Legal aid to be implemented soon in St Vincent

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent: The Cabinet will soon be discussing the issue of legal aid in
St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves disclosed this while addressing the swearing in ceremony of the family court president and a new magistrate on February 4th.
Dr. Gonsalves told persons gathered at the Government House that he has given the mandate to have a Cabinet memorandum prepared so that he can take the issue to cabinet.
He stated that the programme would afford persons who do not have the means of acquiring legal assistance. Dr. Gonsalves said he hoped to have the programme on stream by the first half of the year.
