Caribbean Gold Book introduces UK distribution

Friday, January 23, 2004

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico: The Caribbean Gold Book, known as the travel agents' 'bible' for the Caribbean, is entering the UK market with the Winter 2004 edition. In its 20th year of publication, The Caribbean Gold Book is a 260+ page directory that is the most comprehensive reference source for the Caribbean tourism industry, covering all 36 destinations within the region. It is published by the Caribbean Hotel Association's (CHA) publishing division, Gold Book Publishing.

The Caribbean Gold Book's Winter editions will now be distributed to every travel agency in the United Kingdom, in addition to its usual circulation in the United States and Canada. The UK copies will include a special 16-page front section to familiarize UK travel agents with the publication, how to use it, and useful tips, in addition to UK-only advertisements.

"This is a significant step forward for CHA and its member hotels, as The Caribbean Gold Book will now have coverage of almost all travel agencies in the United States, Canada and UK," explained Publisher Tim Grace. "With 1,450 detailed hotel listings from 36 destinations - and a profile on each of these destinations - there is no other reference source that provides so much Caribbean-specific information to all of the region's primary tourist-generating markets," he added.
