
US judge arrested with cocaine in Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico: According to a report by the Xinhuanet News service, a 52-year-old United States judge has been arrested with 150 grams of cocaine in Puerto Rico.
Leslie B. Holt, federal administrative judge of the US Agriculture Department, was reportedly arrested on Monday after police agents carried out a vigilance operation in a luxury hotel in the tourist area of the Puerto Rican Isla Verde.
The agents noticed that Holt bought the drug while accompanied by his wife in an area of San Juan.
Police broke into his room and found 46 plastic packages with cocaine processed as crack.
Judge Jesus Castellanos set bail at US$50,000 bail and Holt will have to appear on Wednesday before the District Court of the United States in San Juan.
Holt, who arrived in San Juan on Jan. 6, had been an administrative judge of Federal Social Security in Puerto Rico.
