UNITED STATES VIRGIN ISLANDS, December 29, 2003 - The USVI Commissioner of Tourism Pamela C. Richards has announced an exciting new destination-wide promotion for the winter season. The new "USVI Ice Breaker" promotion offered by the United States Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, in conjunction with the U.S. Virgin Islands Hotel & Tourism Association, provides free accommodations and many value-added incentives for the perfect winter getaway.
The "USVI Ice Breaker" promotion arrives just in time for travelers to take a break from the cold weather that impacts much of the world during the winter months. Valid for travel January 11 - April 18, 2004, the promotion provides many exciting ways for visitors to experience all that the USVI has to offer with nightly hotel rates starting as low as $105.
When travelers book this promotion, they will receive the seventh night of their accommodations free and an American Express traveler's cheque worth $50. Winter guests also will receive "winterized" apparel, including an America's Caribbean long sleeved t-shirt and ski cap (two sets per couple) to make the transition to cooler temperatures a little easier on the return home.
St. Croix's properties participating in this promotion include: Antilles Resorts - Club St. Croix; Antilles Resorts - Colony Cove; Carambola Beach Resort; Chenay Bay Beach Resort; Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort; Frederiksted Hotel; Hotel Caravelle; and Sugar Beach Condominiums. The Westin Resort & Villas St. John is the participating property on St. John. St. Thomas' properties include: Best Western Carib Beach Resort; Best Western Emerald Beach Resort; Holiday Inn Windward Passage; Marriott Frenchman's Reef; Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina; Secret Harbour Beach Resort; and Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa.
