ROSEAU, Dominica: Actress Tonya Lee Williams, who plays Dr Olivia Winters on The Young and the Restless daytime soap opera, is in Dominica on a two-week working vacation coordinated by government agencies.
Williams, accompanied by her mother, fiancé and support staff, arrived Sunday and made a guest appearance at an annual Christmas song contest at the Arawak House of Culture in Roseau.
While in Dominica, Williams and her entourage will conduct media and film training exercises, and she will become a patron at several fund raising dinners including one for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Williams told the local media that she would also sample some of the island's dishes, culture and natural beauty while on a sabbatical from the United States-based CBS programme.
