
Four new Trinidad & Tobago diplomats appointed

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad: Prime Minister Patrick Manning announced the appointment of four new High Commissioners for Trinidad and Tobago to pursue its "vital interest in several capitals of the world".
The announcement was made on Friday November 7, 2003 in Parliament. Addressing the Speaker of the House of Representatives Prime Minister Manning said, " we are in the fortunate position to have the talent to serve the country's objectives in this area."
"I therefore wish to advise this Honourable House and the national community of the following new appointments: Ms Glenda Morean as High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago to the United Kingdom with accreditation also to Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Germany;
"Ms Donna Carter, a Minister of the Cabinet of 2002, as this country's first High Commissioner to South Africa;
"Former Senator Pundit Manideo Persad as High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago to India; and Mr Maniram Rambissoon - a senior career diplomat - as Trinidad and Tobago's High Commissioner to Nigeria."
