Second Acting Lt. Governor of Saba sworn in

THE BOTTOM, Saba: On Friday afternoon, 10th October, Mr. Hubert Roy Smith repeated the words: "So Help My God Almighty"
in front of Lt. Governor of Saba, Mr. Antoine as he was sworn in as the 2nd Acting Lt. Governor of Saba. In the absence of Lt. Governor, Mr. Antoine Solagnier, and the 1st Acting Lt. Governor Mr. Will Johnson, Mr. Smith will serve as Lt. Governor.
Mr. Smith is no newcomer to government having held several positions within government. He was a former member of the Island Council of Saba from 1991 until 1998, and a Commissioner from 1991 until 1995.
He has also served as State Secretary of General Affairs charged with Development Cooperation in the Suzy Camelia-Romer and Miguel Pourier from 1998 until 2002 and has also served as a civil servant in the personnel Affairs Department of the Island Government.
