PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad: According to the Calgary Herald, Canadian Superior Energy Inc. has entered a joint venture off the east coast of Trinidad with the government-owned Petroleum Co. of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd.
Financial terms of the venture have not been disclosed, but Canadian Superior CEO Greg Noval said in a statement Wednesday from Port-of-Spain that "Petrotrin will provide the joint venture with a wealth of experience."
Canadian Superior will initially conduct seismic surveys covering 250 square kilometres and drill two exploration wells in the Mayaro/Guayaguayare area, offering what the Calgary-based company called "world-class opportunities in a very prolific oil and gas basin."
