
United Airlines expands Caribbean service with new flights from Chicago to Grand Cayman

CHICAGO, IL: United Airlines today announced that it will launch a seasonal, Saturday-only service to Grand Cayman from its hub at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport from December 20, 2003 through April 24, 2004. Flights are now available for booking.
This move expands United's current service to the Caribbean, which includes flights to the regional leisure destinations of Aruba; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
"We are excited to be introducing new, international service from Chicago O'Hare to Grand Cayman for the winter travel season," said Kevin Knight, vice president - resource planning. "The addition of Grand Cayman to our O'Hare schedule now gives customers more choice, more convenience and more great fares when planning travel to the Caribbean."
The new service will use Airbus A320s or similar aircraft with 138 seats, configured with 12 seats in United First Class and 126 seats in United Economy Class. The southbound flight will depart Chicago O'Hare on Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Grand Cayman Owen Roberts International Airport at 12:54 p.m. The return flight will also depart on Saturdays from Grand Cayman at 2:25 p.m. and arrive in Chicago at 5:30 p.m.
