CASTRIES, St. Lucia: St. Lucia's Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, George William Odlum, will be laid to rest today following a service at the Mindoo Phillip Park.

The funeral is expected to be attended by dignitaries across the region. Yesterday, Mr. Odlum's body was today taken to the island's Parliament Building where government officials, members of the Diplomatic Corp and the St. Lucian people, filed passed to pay their last respects. Among those paying respects was Acting St. Lucia Prime Minister, Mr. Phillip J. Pierre.

Mr. Odlum was well respected on the international circuit for his colourful and controversial contributions to international debates on current issues, especially that of globalisation and the security of small states.
