Antigua upset Barbados; Jamaica beat Windwards in Red Stripe Bowl

ST. JOHN'S, Antigua: It was a major upset for champions Barbados, much to the delight of fans who showed up to watch their home team, Antigua and Barbuda play the Bajans yesterday. The Antiguans defeated Barbados by three wickets in their Zone B regional Red Stripe Bowl match at the Antigua Recreation Ground.

In Jamaica, the host side defeated the Windward Islands by seven wickets in their Zone A encounter at the Alpart Sports Club. West Indies opener, Chris Gayle, scored an unbeaten 72, as Jamaica replying to the Windwards score of 146 all out off 46 overs, finished on 151 for three wickets, CMC reported.
Today is a rest day. Play resumes tomorrow, 7th October with the Windwards taking on the Rest of the Leewards and UWI facing off with the Young West Indies.
