Grenada cabinet approves Week of National Remembrance

St. Georges, Grenada: From 19th - 25th October, Grenadians will host a Week of National Remembrance to mark the 20th anniversary of the invasion of Grenada.

Prime Minister Keith Mitchell, during an address to the nation recently said the week will commence with a public address by Governor General Sir Daniel Williams.

"Also, on October 19th there will be two minutes of silence at 2:30 p.m. to reflect upon those who lost their lives on that day twenty years ago," said PM Mitchell. "The week will culminate with the annual Thanksgiving celebrations on October 25th.
