Barbados to host national consultation on HIV/AIDS

Bridgetown, Barbados: Stakeholders in the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic will gather at the Sherbourne Conference Centre on Friday, 10th October for the National HIV/AIDS Commission second National Consultation on HIV/AIDS.
Under the theme "The Expanded Response to the Epidemic: Get Involved," the conference will bring together government officials, representatives from the private sector, the union, strategic partners and non-governmental organisations. Prime Minister Owen Arthur is scheduled to give the feature address while Chairman of the National HIV/AIDS Commission, Dr. Carol Jacobs, will also deliver remarks.
During the session, representatives of several of the ministries involved in government's HIV/AIDS Awareness and Sensitisation Programme will deliver progress reports on their projects and initiatives.
