Jamaica still leads region in FIFA rankings

ZURICH, Switzerland: Jamaica has retained the number one spot in the Caribbean Football Union. In the September ratings released recently, Jamaica also ranked fifth in the CONCACAF but is rated 46th in the world, the Jamaica Observer reported.
CONCACAF giants, Mexico, dropped one place from fourth to fifth in the world, and the other top teams in the confederation are the United States (11th), Costa Rica (19th) and Honduras (41st), followed by Jamaica.
Current world champions, Brazil, lead ahead of France and Spain, with Argentina fourth, followed by Mexico, England, the Netherlands, Turkey, with the Czech Republic and Germany tied at ninth.
